And being the little g.a.y. that I am, I was a huge, devoted fan of Betty White, mostly because of her role in <i>The Golden Girls.</i> At the time-my Aunt Annie (don’t make fun) was in from Washington, and being the expert baker that she is-she had just whipped up a batch of delicious, aromatically amazing cinnamon rolls. Grabbing destiny into my own hands, I decided that I needed a ploy to talk to Betty White, so I asked my Aunt if I could give her one of her cinnamon rolls; and she obviously said yes. One day-while they had a break in filming, I ran next door and gave that cinnamon roll to Betty White, and I asked her if I could hug her, and she gave me a huge warm hug-and it was heaven.
