Yes I did. Who doesn’t love an overly educated, smart, acerbic socialite in firm control of her tongue. When Aviva calls Ramona and Sonja “white trash,” I just feel like she summed up their entire personas in two words. For the historical span of RHONYC, Ramona and Sonja have been super fun to watch (as reality t.v. personalities); but they are also bullies.
And they accuse everyone else of being super elitist and snobby (i.e. The Countess [rightfully so I might add]), but I feel like Ramo-So put on this faux-elitism because they got money in their later life and felt inadequate in that world and therefore had to scrap the only way they knew how-by fighting dirty (verbally).
It made me incredibly uncomfortable to watch Ramona question Aviva about her prosthetic leg and then visibly cringe when she asked Aviva if she has “fake toes.” In classic housewife-rhetoric, the question begs to be asked, “WHO DOES THAT?!”
It’s like that mean girl (or boy) in high school coming up to you and asking if you how long you’ve had acne for (after suffering and struggling with acne for four years straight [yes I am speaking from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE]) and then laughing about it in your face. So if Aviva calls Ramona (and Sonja) “white trash,” I feel like they had it coming, right???
