My sister moved to Houston, and so did Gia; therefore, I need to emote. Since Gia and my sister are two monstrously important females in my life-both of them being Boss Bitches-I am going to write two separate posts about my feelings regarding their move to Texas. This first post is dedicated to my beloved Mastiff-whom I miss more than Jill Zarin misses Bravo-relevance.
When I bought Gia for my sister two Christmases ago-the understanding was always that Gia would primarily be her “child,” and that she and I would co-parent Gia. Now I’m sure that’s probably confusing and incestuous and strange-but we’ve always shared custody of our Gia as one parental unit (even though we’re siblings).
Now that Gia is in Houston-staring life anew as a Texan-her loss has been instantaneously hitting me kind of hard. Coming home to an empty house, Gia isn’t there to greet me and then subsequently pin me down to the couch and lick my face-electrocuting me with one hundred million volts of pure puppy love.
Last night, running around the Silverlake Reservoir all by my lonesome-I realized that I’m going to miss having Gia as my constant companion. Who am I going to go hiking with in Runyon Canyon now? Who am I going to have one-sided conversations with about life and love and how beautiful Los Angeles is now? Who is going to shower me with constant, almost physically aggressive love and affection whenever I feel like it?
The answer is no one-unless I end up dating some really sloppy guy or something. Even though I’ll see Gia in upcoming trips and her vacations back home, I’m still going to miss her from time to time; and unlike some random-ass dude-Gia is totally irreplaceable. In fact, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do or give up for Gia-including my face-that’s the kind of love I have for my main bitch, Gia.

I couldn’t imagine having to say goodbye to one of my pets like this. They are my babies and I would be devastated. You need some skype dates asap!
