Q: Online dating--trendy or tragic??
A:
You’re writing to someone who has been on the internet-dating-for over a decade- who used to meet up with dudes at the Copley Mall based on a DESCRIPTION of what they looked like (pre the era of photos being a socially mandatory thing), so I think that my perception of online dating might be slightly askew.
At the same time, it’s 2012-the internet is EVERYTHING, so the only tragedy I see are people’s old-timey conceptions that online dating is somehow less valuable. Do you 100-whether online or IRL, but to answer definitively-there is nothing tragic about online dating.
