Q: hi! i just saw perks of being a wallflower and i wanted to know what your thoughts were on it (movie or book). I loved the film portrayal especially the storyline of patrick and his love interest. it wasn't just your typical gay character story. it brought so much humanity and i really learned to love all the characters! :) i hope you're doing well - please keep inspiring others with your writing. :)

Shamefully, I haven’t read the book or seen the movie. I have a general awareness of the cultural significance of the book, which is why I’ve always referenced the “perks of NOT being a wallflower” in previous posts; but I need to educate myself and read the book/see the movie. It seems like it would be right up my alley, so maybe this weekend I’ll see it?
Actually, I’m working on something with someone from TUMBLR who you might know, and we’re excited about it and have put in on a lot of time and effort, so stay tuned.
