Hey! I'm Edward. I'm a writer, entrepreneur, and I've got a voice like an angel-please don't be intimidated by me.

On the 710 this morning, I saw a Pink Cadillac. And it wasn’t just any old campy-ass Pink Cadillac, it was a Mary Kay Cadillac. If you don’t know, in order to get a Mary Kay Pink Cadillac:

You have to be a top sales leader, organizing your own sales team, and achieving lofty sales figures. The Mary Kay Pink Cadillac is a tangible, meaningful symbol of achievement, and only people with the trillest hustle get the keys to a MKPC.

Reflecting on the hustle, I sometimes wonder if I’m making the right career decisions. I question whether I’m heading in the right direction, or whether I should I choose a more stable, consistent type of life. It’s hard to listen to your gut instinct when it’s clouded by stress or fear. The same goes for your comedic instinct.

It’s often difficult to be your most creative when your creativity is being suffocated and stifled by the menacing struggles of reality. At the same time, in order to achieve big, you have to dream big, and you also have to work hard towards those dreams.

Whenever possible, I try to look for signs and symbols, letting me know if I’m headed in the right direction. That may seem foolish, because you can sometime create self-fulfilling prophecies and read into things that aren’t really signs or symbols, but just mere coincidences. And it’s sometimes hard to distinguish the difference; it takes experience, savvy, and intuitive trust.

Nonetheless, when I saw that MKPC this morning, I took it as a sign to stay on my trillest hustle; and to remember that if I work hard, I will achieve all of my dreams and get that symbolic Pink Cadillac (or maybe not pink because that’s kinda campy and tacky, but definitely some type of metaphoric Cadillac).
